Okay, we’re sorry that 21 Jump Street didn’t come out last week.  Neither did Big Miracle but it’s safe to say that no one is crying about that.  This week though, we get 3 comedies and one action flick so you should be happy. Please?

As Hollywood continues to mine old properties for new franchises, we can only hope that the final product onscreen is entertaining enough to be worth our time and money-for the most part adaptations and reboots suck.

21 Jump Street thankfully bucks the trend by being almost unrecognizable from its source material.

Still feeling bad you can’t get tickets to The Avengers? You have now four, count ‘em, four options to sate your dissapointment with.  And they’re all pretty damn decent to.

Heed The Call: The Avengers Review

Uniting disparate franchises, retaining their lead actors, paying off almost half a decade of setup and having a fan favourite director at the helm, the sheer novelty alone is enough to give The Avengers a free pass, Instead, it takes that pass, tears it into confetti and throws a party for everyone.

SM Cinema is pulling out all the stops to make SM Malls the premiere movie watching venue this summer. And with the Avengers, Amazing Spiderman and the Dark Knight Rises now snaking their ways into theaters, it looks their timing couldn’t be any better.

The next trick up their playbook: the SM Cinema e-Plus Card.
