After what was sure to gave been a hard fought and storied set of deliberations, Cinema One has released the list of the finalists for this year’s Cinema One Originals. It couldn’t have come sooner, as the filmmakers have to get ready for their premieres later this year.

SM Cinema is pulling out all the stops to make SM Malls the premiere movie watching venue this summer. And with the Avengers, Amazing Spiderman and the Dark Knight Rises now snaking their ways into theaters, it looks their timing couldn’t be any better.

In 2010, Director Adolf Alix submitted his film Chassis to the MTRCB for review. He got an X rating. After an appeal for re-evaluation, he got another X.
The good folk at Rappler.com have done a piece on the whole affair, including Direk Alix’s latest appeal to the Palace where President Aquino himself has banned the film.
