And the hits just keep on coming! These we;ve got four, count ‘em, four new movies for you perusal. Watch ‘em all and let the critics sort ‘em out!
The Releases of the Week after the jump.
Rock of Ages
The movie to musical formula has been more or less successful at the box office, but what’s got us really excited is that Tom Cruise might actually reach Nic Cage levels of crazy as Stacee Jaxx. Other than that, its Glee for the rock set. Also starring Julianne Hough, Diego Boneta, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Malin Åkerman. Directed by Adam Shankman.
Kimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme
The Go Dong Hae sisters (Eugene Domingo) are back, for more laughs, more drama and more Kiyeme under the steady hand of directorJoyce Bernal. When haunted by a terrible curse, twins Kimmy and Dora head to South Korea to try and break it. If it’s even half as funny as the first one we’ll be happy.
Lockout
Guy Pearce is tasked to save the president’s daughter after a riot in a space prison. It’s basically Escape from New York (and L.A.) in space and I am 100% okay with that. Plus they even have the line ‘There’s only one man who can get her out’ which is ridiculously awesome. Movies like this are what they print money for. Directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger.
Special Forces
A Spec Ops team is sent into Pakistan to rescue a war correspondent. They get her, but the guy who kidnapped her won’t stop. EVER. Looks fun. Starring Diane Kruger avec Djimon Hounsou. Un Film de Stéphane Rybojad.
