Everyone’s favorite hyphenated superhero is back, and is quite possibly the only release of the week. Economically understandable.

Look, we all know the story. Great Power. Great Responsibility. Great left hook. While many fans take umbrage at Sony’s hasting decisions, the move to a more wise-cracking Webhead, practical web swinging stunts and Andrew Garfield’s actions at last year’s Comic-Con have made many people cautiously optimistic about the project, we’ll all know soon enough if Sony’s gamble to keep the franchise out of Marvel’s hands pays off. Also starring Emma Stone, Dennis Leary and Rhys Ifans. Directed by Marc Webb.
