‘Supremo’ Teaser features Afred Vargas as Andres Bonifacio

We’re not sure how Richard Somes’ Supremo teaser got past us; we’re usually eagle-eyed and have minds like steel traps.

Alfie Vargas stars as Andres Bonifacio in this perod piece about the children of the revolution. It’s not filled with bombast or spectacle as most historical dramas about the revolution are. Instead, it’s filled with a lot of mood and tone; a welcome change if you ask me. Somes excels at more focused, character driven moments but is also handy with fights so it’ll be a pleasure to see what’s in store for us this time around. Among the actors joining Vargas are Nicco Manalo and Mon Confiado, two character actors who always bring consistent performances.
